Clematis by Night

The short answer

Clematis by Night is West Palm Beach's free weekly concert on the waterfront: every Thursday from 6 to 9 PM at Centennial Square and the Great Lawn, 100 N. Clematis Street. Bring a lawn chair or blanket; the City of West Palm Beach posts each week's band.

What is Clematis by Night?

Clematis by Night is the City of West Palm Beach's award-winning weekly concert series on the downtown waterfront. Every Thursday evening a local, regional or national band plays the Great Lawn at the foot of Clematis Street, with the Intracoastal Waterway behind the stage. Genres rotate each week: rock, reggae, R&B, country, blues, soul, swing and Latin.

It works as an open-air happy hour. People come straight from work, bring a lawn chair or blanket, and stay for a set or the whole night. Some weeks are themed, such as a Jimmy Buffett tribute night or the Halloween edition, Clematis by Fright, and the series hosts the city's holiday tree lighting in early December.

When it happens

Every Thursday from 6 to 9 PM. The city skips some holiday weeks; in 2026 there is no concert on Thanksgiving (Nov. 26) or Christmas Eve (Dec. 24).

Special editions run longer. The 2026 Holiday Tree Lighting on Thursday, Dec. 3, runs 6 to 10 PM, and the New Year's Eve party on Thursday, Dec. 31, runs 8 PM to midnight.
